How it helps your club
Safeguarding tools for clubs mean protection does not depend on every volunteer remembering the rules. Some protections are enforced by the platform, and you are left to focus on the ones only your club can do.
How it works
Coaches cannot start a conversation with a member under 18, and every conversation a coach is in is kept for audit. Anyone can report a post or a comment.
Members agree to your policies, such as a code of conduct, and OurClub records the acceptance against their account.
Common questions
- Do I have to switch safeguarding on?
- No. The safeguards run automatically wherever you use OurClub.
- Can a coach message a child directly?
- No. The platform blocks coaches from starting a conversation with a member under 18, and no setting changes that.
- Does this replace my club's own policy?
- No. You still need a safeguarding lead, DBS checks and your own policies. OurClub records members accepting the policies you ask them to agree to.
